0908 Lot 09 - Byalee Rembrandt

Bay colt, 30/03/08 - August 2009 auction
Byalee Romance x Byalee Jem
On account of Byalee

Remi is so talented a young horse that he deserves to be named after Nicole Uphoff’s Olympic and World Champion Rembrandt. Remi is a remarkably marked black colt by Byalee Romance, by Australia’s number one Grand Prix dressage horse, Regardez Moi. Regardez Moi was top 10 in the world at the 2009 World Cup Dressage Final in Las Vegas and Romance is himself already showing off a huge trot just like his dad’s and an amazing penchant for the collected work and for his tempi changes. Truly these horses are bred to perform the most difficult of movements with their eyes shut. On the dam side, Remi is out of Byalee Jem, by Rozzie Ryan’s Grand Prix stallion Jive Magic (imp), sire of many top-priced auction foals. Jen’s mother, “Boo”, was a performance TB mare who was a top pony club mount yet piaffed with the greatest of ease, requiring no incentive from whip or spur, and offered the most gentle of riding temperaments and could jump open C-grade. Jem’s next foal is already presold, as was our last Romance-Jive colt. Remi is easy to clip, can be handled and floated by a child and is ready to break in next year. Remi has the temperament, the movement and the looks to be a champion in the arena – all he needs now is a partner!
